JPGtoPNGNow is a set of free image tools for everyday jobs: changing formats, making files smaller, resizing, cropping, removing hidden metadata and turning images into PDFs.
Who runs JPGtoPNGNow
JPGtoPNGNow is built and run by Faheem Ali. The site started from a simple frustration: everyday image and document jobs, like getting a photo under a portal’s size limit, shouldn’t mean uploading personal files to a stranger’s server. Every tool here is designed to run on your own device for that reason.

How the tools work
Our standard tools run entirely in your web browser using built-in browser technology. Your files are read, processed and saved on your own device. That’s why there’s no upload progress bar, no waiting in a queue, and no copy of your files on our servers.
AI tools
AI tools are labelled separately. Each one states where processing happens. The AI Image Upscaler runs on your device, using an open-source model downloaded to your browser.
What problems it solves
- A form or website rejects your image for being the wrong format, too large in KB, or the wrong dimensions.
- You want to share a photo without its hidden GPS location.
- You need several images in one PDF, without white borders.
- A small image needs to be larger for print or reuse.
No signup, no watermark
The tools are free and need no account. Results never carry a watermark. We keep the site running with advertising, placed away from the tool controls.
How we test the tools
Each tool is tested with real image files: converting, compressing, resizing and cropping, then checking the output’s format, dimensions, transparency and file size by reading the actual downloaded file. AI tools are also compared visually on portraits, landscapes, graphics, text and transparent images, and their limits are documented on each page.
Limitations
Because processing happens in your browser, very large images are limited by your device’s memory. We tell you when a file is too large rather than letting the page crash. Some formats, such as creating WebP in Safari, depend on what your browser supports.

What we won’t do
- Promise results a format can’t deliver, such as “lossless” compression that isn’t.
- Call an ordinary algorithm “AI”.
- Put ads where they could be mistaken for a Download or Convert button.
