How to rotate a PDF

Drop your PDF into the box above, use the rotate buttons to set the direction — each click adds another 90° turn — then download the result with every page rotated the same way.

For example, a document scanned sideways by mistake can be corrected here in one click, rather than needing to reprint or rescan it.

Every page rotates together

This tool applies the same rotation to every page in the document. If only some pages need rotating, split the PDF first with the Split PDF tool, rotate just the pages that need it, then merge them back together.

Fixing sideways scans

Scanners and phone cameras get page orientation wrong more often than you'd expect — a document fed in sideways, or a photo taken in landscape when the page is meant to read in portrait, both come out needing a quick rotation fix before anyone can read them comfortably on screen. This tool rotates every page in 90-degree steps until the orientation is right, without re-scanning or losing any of the original content.

If only some pages in a multi-page PDF are rotated wrong while others are fine, rotating the whole file will flip the correct pages too — in that case, split the PDF first, rotate just the affected pages, then merge everything back together in the right order.

A metadata change, not a re-render

Rotating a PDF page doesn't redraw or re-render its content — it simply updates a rotation value stored alongside the page, which every PDF viewer reads and respects when displaying or printing that page. That's why rotation is instant and lossless, regardless of how much text or how many images the page contains.

This update happens through a PDF manipulation library running locally in your browser tab, so the document is never uploaded anywhere just to flip its orientation.
